34-17 Move your body!

Ein Schauspielseminar auf Englisch – mit viel „Body“

Referent: Pim Griens, Schauspieler & Regisseur, Breda (Niederlande)

Pim Griens is an actor, a director and a dramateacher from the Netherlands. He graduated in 2009 at the school of arts (Fontys Hogeschool Tilburg) as a dramateacher/theatermaker and director.

Since then he has worked as in the field of theatre and has specialised in improvisation, body movement and sincerity in acting. Always looking for the tragedy in comedy and vice-versa. The best laughs he believes, are the ones that the public in retrospect is a bit ashamed of. That's where chatarsis lies, that's where it gets personal for the audience and doing that with a laugh he thinks is the best way to achieve this.

A few of his strong believes as a teacher and director are: Dare to be ugly! A role starts from within, starts with showing yourself so dare to open up. As a player its your duty to make the other actors on stage shine. And don't try to be original as an actor as this gets in the way of natural acting, originality starts with authenticity.

As a teacher he has experience teaching in Holland and abroad (Germany and Greece). Using all of his linguistic knowledge (bit of german, bit of english) and combining it with bodylanguage he has found a way to make sure the particapants understand what he is trying to say in orde to inhance their actingabilitys.

He is absolutly looking forward to come here and have a very good and meaningfull time!
